The Wrap Experience

The Wrap Experience, a collaborative two-day extravaganza hosted by The Wrap Institute and ISA, took place November 11-12 and had a fantastic turnout. The event featured over 20 sponsors and thousands of attendees. The event was structured around a virtual “main stage”, featuring Justin Pate and The Wrap Institute team, and included breakout sessions, a roulette-style networking feature, and “booth” areas for each sponsor where attendees could visit to get more information and event-exclusive discount codes.

Justin and the team at The Wrap Institute hosted 10 episodes on the main stage of The Wrap Experience (which are all featured in this playlist!). Each episode was sponsored by a leading industry brand, and dove into a wrap-specific topic. For example, one of the episodes covered the boom of color change wraps during the COVID-19 pandemic, and why this section of the industry didn’t take a hit as expected. In the episodes, Justin paired demonstrations alongside interviews with each of the sponsors, giving the attendees an immersive experience that included a heap of information from a variety of manufacturers.

The TWI Team structured the episodes with a “Las Vegas” theme in mind, to give attendees an experience as close to the true sign show experience as possible. With wigs, costumes and skits - the team went all-out.

In addition to the main stage episodes, we had over 20 breakout sessions! About half of these sessions were sponsored and led by the company sponsoring the session, and the other half were sessions with wrap industry leaders such as Bruno Dede, John Duever, Matt Richart, Tim Evans and more. In the sponsor-led sessions, the sponsor presented content live, and was able to bring any industry or company leaders into their session to aid the presentation. One of the best parts about the sessions was that it was easy for session attendees to ask questions and interact with the session leaders. Leaders were able to bring attendees onto “stage” to ask questions in realtime, which cultivated a true sign show experience.

Each sponsor was given the opportunity to host a booth at The Wrap Experience. Inside the booth, sponsors displayed new products, special deals and chatted live with booth visitors. If an attendee wanted more information about the booth, they could register interest and share their information with the booth with just the click of a button.

One of the most important parts of a sign show is networking, and while it might seem difficult to network at a virtual show, our automated networking platform made networking as simple as pushing a button. Once attendees were ready to connect, they could press a button, and the system would pair them randomly with someone else from the show for three minutes. At the end of the three minutes, both attendees would be able to share their information with each other, but the information would only be shared if both attendees mutually agreed.

While we’re excited for our Wrap Experience booth at the ISA Sign Show Expo this upcoming April, The Wrap Experience - Virtual truly was a success in all areas, and allowed attendees, sponsors, and industry professionals to come together in this extraordinary time.
