Wrapping Up November 2020

Hello you superstar TWI members. We hope that November was a month filled with smooth squeegee strokes and clean cuts. TWI had a very busy month on all fronts. Here's a recap on the latest videos released:

We hope that all of you had a chance to take part in The Wrap Experience, our two-day extravaganza that streamed November 11th-12th. This was a joint venture between TWI and ISA. If you missed out on this epic, super fun event, you can watch all the episodes and sessions on TWI. Be sure to check out the skits, especially the ones featuring Pivot for Profit caveman, who is played by the one-and-only Dimas Brasil.

Keep in mind that we will be having a LIVE Wrap Experience in April at the ISA Sign Expo. This will include the Never Stop Learning Contest, which will be an amazing experience for hands-on learning. Stay tuned for news on how to sign up!

In a week or so, we will be announcing some new discounts for great manufacturers, along with some exciting new partnerships. This means that as a member, you'll gain even more benefits, and so we're super excited to announce these for you.

Note that we will not be releasing any new videos from December 24th-January 1st so we can be with family and friends over the holidays.

Have a great December, and let’s finish this year on a strong note!

Cheers,
Justin

Wrapping Up October 2020

What's up TWI Members? I hope October treated everyone well. Here are the super cool new videos that were released:

THE WRAP EXPERIENCE is just around the corner on November 11th and 12th! We really hope you all are planning to join us for this FREE, super fun, and informative 2-day online extravaganza. This isn't your normal online sign show, so make sure to block-off your schedule ahead of time so you don't miss the training, entertainment and prize giveaways (including a visualizer by XIX with Zeno that's worth over $3,000)!

Each day we'll have 5-6 episodes and one panel discussion (live with Q&A opportunities!). The first panel will be about certification, and the second will be about design. In addition, our very own TWI Endorsed Trainers will be on-hand to answer questions, and special industry guest speakers will be present to talk about their specialties. Even more than that, we have some great sponsors lined up who will have special discounts available throughout the show.

Overall, we're really excited to share this experience with you - the platform makes it feel just like you're at a sign show, and it'll be a ton of fun. To register, click here

We hope that you enjoyed the TWI Live Brazil event that took place at our center in Munich on October 31st. Dimas Brasil did a great job putting that together. Dimas is heading up TWI Brasil and is hosting some amazing online episodes and workshops, so be sure to check them out on Youtube and TWI. They are in Portuguese, so if this is your language of choice, Dimas is definitely the trainer for you.

Also, a big congratulations to Mike and Rafael for becoming TWI Endorsed Trainers. These guys are a great addition to the already amazing group of trainers. If you live in England or Mexico you can count on them to give you the best training.

Best of luck in November to all of you, and thanks as always for your support!

Cheers,
Justin

Wrapping Up September 2020

Hello Wrappers! I hope September was a great month for everyone. It was an awesome month of new videos for us. Here's what dropped:

The Wrap Experience - Virtual, a 2-day extravaganza, is fully in motion. The event goes down November 11-12 and is a collaboration between The Wrap Institute and ISA. The theme is “Pivot for Profit" and will digitally provide you with everything you love about sign shows: information, discounts, demos with new ideas and tips, and connecting with like-minded people. We'll be announcing the great exhibitors, special guests, and demo topics we have lined up so far soon. The event is free, and you'll have the chance to win some incredible prizes through live Never Stop Learning contests throughout the event. Be sure to tune in to this revolutionary, global event focused on fun, learning, and increasing your profits.

At the end of the month, we'll be holding a TWI Live event from our training center in Munich that will feature the one-and-only Dimas Brasil. This event will be in both English and Portuguese. More information regarding the event will be provided in the coming weeks.

If you haven’t noticed yet, since August 1st, all of our new videos now include German, French, and Spanish subtitles. We're super excited to expand our platform this way, and are planning on adding more languages in the coming months.

As always, I hope you are all safe and growing during this time.

Cheers,
Justin

Isa's The Wrap Experience™ Digital Event Design to Help Wrap Shops 'Pivot for Profit'

ISA’s The Wrap Experience™ - Digital, in conjunction with The Wrap Institute and noted instructor/installer Justin Pate, is designed to help wrap professionals explore new business opportunities. The event, scheduled for November 11-12, will host attendees from across the globe in a digital setting, with networking, education, demonstrations and exhibitors.

The Wrap Institute, the world’s top online wrap training program, has worked with ISA for the past two years, bringing hands-on instruction to ISA in-person events. The Wrap Experience™ – Digital - joins ISA and TWI once again for a new digital event designed to educate more companies on the power of wrap and highlight the business opportunities it brings while making the event a truly global experience.

"I came up with concept  of “Pivot for Profit” as a theme for The Wrap Experience in late 2019 before the pandemic,” Pate said. “I felt it was very poignant then and it’s even more so today.  The idea is that significant increases in profits can easily be integrated into your current workflow with a simple ‘pivot’ to new products and cutting-edge technology that exist both inside and outside the wrap industry. Simply put, The Wrap Experience™ is designed to connect all the dots through a seamless platform of demos, influencers and hand-selected exhibitors all while creating that feeling of connection, we all love and crave.”

Education and connection will occur throughout the day, allowing those outside North America to participate at convenient times. In the North America, most events will occur between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. ET.

"Justin has been doing online training since 2014, so he is an experienced pro at communicating in this way and was the perfect partner to help us create this digital wrap experience ,” said Craig Campbell, ISA’s director of business development and leader of ISA’s The Wrap Experience™. “We’re excited for the opportunity to break this out of four walls and help wrap installers around the world grow their businesses.”

Education will focus on ways to easily expand typical wrap installation jobs into architectural items or to upsells like ceramic coatings, PPF and much more.  A special bonus: Dan Antonelli of KickCharge Creative will lead sessions on design. Attendees can explore the latest technology, including a visualization tool from XIX 3D with Zeno.

The Wrap Experience™ “Pivot for Profit” digital supplier showcase will allow attendees to visit and spend time with the top suppliers in the wrap market. A main stage area will include multiple events each day, including an opening ceremony and panel discussion with leading influencers and trainers.

Attendees then can choose breakout educational sessions targeted to help them increase profits in pre-install, install and post-install.

Each evening, a Wrap After Hours event will include networking opportunities. Multiple networking sessions will occur at the same time. A Special Speakeasy Area will allow attendees to connect with some of the industry’s top influencers and shop owners in smaller settings geared for personalized interaction.

"There are a lot of opportunities for wrap installers to expand their businesses into easy add-on areas—often with high profit margins,” Campbell said. “While they will leave with plenty of ideas for doing so, the event also will feature important opportunities to connect. This will not be simply sitting in front of a computer listening to speakers but will be a truly dynamic event.”

Registration for the event will open in the coming week. In the meantime, those interested can sign up to be notified when registration opens by completing the form at https://www.signs.org/the-link/isas-the-wrap-experience-digital-interest.... Once the registration profile is complete, attendees will receive a free copy of the recently published ISA whitepaper “Reaching Today's Customers: A Guide for Wrap Shops.”

Wrapping Up August 2020

Hello TWI members! I hope that August was a safe and solid month for everyone. Here are the great new videos that we released last month:

This Saturday, September 5, we will be having an online-only TWI Live event at Yellotools in Germany. To say that we are excited about this is an understatement. We will start at 1PM CET and run about 4-5 hours. We have some great presenters: Rainer, Michael from Yellotools, Ritchie from Arlon, Flo from Knirsch, and myself. We have 13 demos planned that focus on a wide arrange of topics like the PPF Bartender, TWI Science of Wrapping, behind the scenes at Yellotools and much more. It's free and interactive, so be sure to ask questions to the presenters.

We have some great new videos scheduled for September with a unique series on a full coverage matte PPF install on a Porsche GT4. It’s a full realtime series so we hope you like it.

We have some very exciting new events that we will announce in September so look out for these. The wrap industry is primed for massive growth, and The Wrap Institute is leading the way. It’s a very exciting time for sure.

Best of luck in September and keep on peeling and sealing.

Cheers,
Justin

Wrapping Up July 2020

Happy August TWI members! I hope that July was a busy month filled with Instagram-worthy corners and happy customers.
Here were the great videos released in July:

In July, we added two new playlists - "How to Wrap a Porsche GTS Cabrio with Mirror Chrome," and "How to Install PPF on a Rolls-Royce Dawn." Make sure to check these out!

We are very happy to announce that we now have an autoplay feature, which was a TWI member request! After finishing a video, the next video will play automatically. Since TWI is a custom-built site, this has been a tough request to fulfill, so we are extremely happy to debut it this month. We hope it further enhances your learning experience.

The videos in August will be a mix of PPF, full print and high-end custom install videos with tons of great info and workflow ideas. This year has not allowed me to travel nearly as much as I normally do, which in a way, is a blessing because it has allowed me to spend more time at the new TWI Center in Munich. This means I've had the chance to spend more time with Rainer and fill out our new video categories. Be sure to look out for these additions throughout the fall.

As always, thank you for your support and best of luck in August!

Cheers,
 J

Wrapping Up June 2020

Happy July everyone! I hope that June was a safe and successful month for all you TWI members. It was a great month of new videos in June, and here's what dropped:

June was an epic month for TWI, and we took a big step forward in rounding out our platform by launching Dan’s Design Distillery. This is a game-changing private workshop with Dan Antonelli from Kickcharge Creative that will transform your wrap shop workflow and design skills. Be sure to check out the design section of our website to find out more from this wrap industry leader, and check out our workshop options.

Next week marks the 2,000th video on TWI, so be sure to look out for some special giveaways. It's a huge milestone for TWI and one that is firmly based on you, our loyal members, for always striving to learn more and take the wrap industry to a higher level. I also want to thank the dedicated team at TWI as well as Rainer Lorz and Pascal Braker for leading the new TWI Center in Munich.

For July, look for a lot of videos on PPF, especially early on in the month where Rainer, Patrick and myself wrapped up a beautiful Rolls Royce Dawn. There are a ton of great tips and tricks as well as amazing footage from the new TWI Center in Munich.

Also, this month we will announce special new workshops for Europe which is something I'm very excited about. These will be extra unique workshops that help support the manufacturers and fill some gaps within the training field.

Best of luck in July and, as always, don’t forget to seal the deal.

Cheers,
Justin

Wrapping Up May 2020

Hello everyone – I hope everyone has stayed safe and busy during May. Here are the videos that were released last month:

This month we have a very exciting video lineup. The first week focuses on an antimicrobial film from Hexis, and different places you can wrap it to increase profits. The Wrap Institute made the Official Product Video for them, so be sure to check out all those videos.

In June, we're starting an in-depth series on wrapping with chrome film. In this case, Rainer, Justin and Patrick will wrap a Porsche. The quality of the footage and info is super special and a must-watch.

This month we also are launching The Never Stop Learning Online Wrap Contest. This is a modified version of the Never Stop Learning Contest we run at the ISA Sign Expo. Every Tuesday at 2:30 PM Central Time we'll post an image on Instagram of a wrapped object. You have to guess how long it took to wrap in the comment section. On Wednesday at 2:30 PM Central Time, TWI will post the video of Justin or Rainer wrapping that object. They'll give live commentary, so it's like a mini-workshop. Once the video is over, we will see who came closest to guessing the time, and the winner will get a super cool prize. So far, we have prize packages from PID PROSeries, Yellotools, 3M, Steinel, GSWF, ORAFOL™ and General Formulations. We hope you enjoy this contest and win one of the prizes!

Lastly, we are very happy to have hosted the first workshop at the TWI Center in Munich. This workshop was for Avery Dennison, and look out for us to host other workshops for a wide variety of manufacturers.

Thanks as always for being a member and Never Stop Learning!™

Cheers,
Justin

Wrapping Up April 2020

Hello everyone – I hope that April was a safe and focused month! Here are the new videos that TWI released:

As you can see, we have a new index along with playlists and featured videos. We hope that you have been enjoying it and we really would love to get input in terms of what kind of playlists you would like to see. We will be very focused in the next few months to really fine tune these to make your viewing experience even better.

We are happy to say our progress on the center in Munich is coming along. We're hoping to debut it in May, so stay tuned.

Look out for a great new Wrap Institute program that we will be launching soon. It focuses on improving an essential aspect of a wrap shop that separates them from their competition and helps increase profits. We hope you will enjoy it, and the only clue I can give is that the name of the program has three words and they all start with the letter "D."

It may seem far away, but keep in mind that the Never Stop Learning Wrap Contest and The Wrap Experience, both led by TWI, are still taking place in Orlando in August. We have been speaking with ISA, and they say it’s a full go, so we can’t wait. We have all the incredible designs ready for the contest, so be sure to sign up when registration opens.

We know that this has been a challenging time in various degrees for all TWI members. We hope that you have been mentally strong during this time and have found ways to grow your install skills as well as business workflow. TWI strongly feels that the wrap economy will pick back up to pre-Corona levels in the coming months. We have made lots of product videos for exciting new materials that will debut in June, so the summer should be a fun month of wrapping.

Thanks as always for being a member of TWI and Never Stop Learning!™

Cheers,
Justin

Wrapping Up March 2020

Hello everyone – I want to begin by saying that everyone at TWI hopes that you are all safe and adapting successfully to the current world situation. We've made it a priority to stay committed to you, our members, and will continue dropping new videos every week so you can keep learning. Here's what was released in March:

As most of you know, ISA Sign Expo, which includes The Wrap Institute’s Never Stop Learning Wrap Contest and The Wrap Experience, has been rescheduled to August 22-24, 2020. It was disappointing to postpone it from our original April date, as we were pumped to show you the super fun designs and program we had put together, yet, it's key during this time to see the positive. This delay simply gives us more time to make both the contest and the entire experience even better. So, be sure to sign up for the wrap contest when registration reopens (we'll give you a heads up when it does), and we hope to see you in Orlando.

With the current upheaval across the world, and particularly for us in the wrap industry, it's clear that this virus is affecting everyone to varying degrees. I strongly encourage you all to do the proper research and take advantage of all the assistance governments are offering. This can be a critical lifeline for many wrap shops and freelance installers during this uncertain and stressful time. Check out our new blog post including government links and websites for numerous countries, and feel free to let us know if you know of any helpful resources for your country that are not listed.

As for The Wrap Institute, expect us to continue full-on with what we do. There are some great new videos coming out in April and May with a big focus on PPF, chrome and interiors. Much of the footage was shot at our new center in Munich, which is a phenomenal facility, and allows us to create even higher quality videos. We have an exciting new feature that will be launching this month that we're very excited about - it's going to help you navigate our videos like never before! We'll be releasing a dedicated video on how to get the most out of the new site, so be sure to look out for that email.

Again, I hope all of you are taking measures to keep yourself, your employees and your family safe during this season. Be confident and determined. If there is ever a time to Never Stop Learning, it's now.

Cheers,
Justin
