Save time and boost quality with 100% risk-free cutting.
The Wrap Axe allows beginners to tackle tricky sections like window molding and bumper/fender gaps with confidence right from the start. For advanced installers, it lowers install times which, over the course of a day/weeks/year can save significant time. In addition to cutting, it is an amazing tucking tool so, like all the TWI Platinum tools, it’s multi-functional which means you can do more with less.
The Wrap Axe, invented in Japan by wrap masters Koji and Itoh, is built for precision. The red version has two sides: one thick for tucking film behind rubber and one thin for cutting. The green Wrap Axe features a cutting side and a 90-degree edge to seal film behind hard-to-reach areas. When combined with the Tuck, Cut and Seal technique, it allows for clean, fast, and flawless edge work.
Tuck and Cut 2 is a TWI staple for wrapping tight gaps. Traditionally done with a knife—risking scratches and stress—this technique now pairs perfectly with the Wrap Axe for zero-risk cutting. It ensures full coverage with no edge tension. The key is the correct angle and a sharpened blade. For best results, sharpen with a 400-grit nail file. It's a true game-changer for quality, confidence, and peace of mind.
Knives slow you down—literally. When cutting tight gaps, you have to slow down to avoid mistakes, then ramp back up. It's like hitting a speed bump during your install flow. With the Wrap Axe, those bumps disappear. At TWI, we've seen time savings between 50–80% compared to traditional cutting methods. That means more cars wrapped, fewer do-overs, and more money in your pocket.
